Communities across the state were blanketed again by a mass of crystalline ice. But does it seem like we’ve had more snow this season than most? Is this really typical Michigan weather?
A top source of always-current knowledge is Bob Ruhf’s Page of Climate, Weather and Photo Galleries. Ruhf keeps unofficial snowfall data for Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo. Tables are updated daily with measurements beginning in 1998. As predicted, monthly snowfall totals confirm above-average levels in December 2007 and January 2008.
