Rothbury Music FestivalBig news in music today with an announcement of the inaugural Rothbury Festival. A four-day event spanning July 3-6, Double JJ Resort will welcome Dave Matthews Band, John Mayer, Modest Mouse, 311, Snoop Dogg and up to 70 other performers on its 2,000 acres near Lake Michigan. With 30,000 fans expected to attend, the location is already leased for future summers with hopes of building Rothbury as an annual showcase.

“This is not a hard rock show or a metal festival,” says partner Jeremy Stein. But beyond the big names remains a diverse lineup with music for everyone. In support of the environment, Rothbury will also include a fair to highlight alternative energy and a think tank to discuss climate change. For a complete lineup, pricing and further information, visit The Detroit News, MLive and Rolling Stone.
