Yay! Help for Digital Entrepreneurs

Speaking of local organizations that are making a big impact on entrepreneurs, I wanted to pass along some information on another such group called Digital Edge Michigan (aka “Digital Edge Mi”).
Designed for digital entrepreneurs and the founders/CEOs of Web-based companies, this organic group consists of about 55 people who meet quarterly in two locations - Ann Arbor and Birmingham - to network, share resources and support one another.
“Members are broad-ranging,” says Joe Minock, who took over as president of the group in October 2007. “There are those that are completely on their own, and those that are funded up to $1.5 million.”
Aside from the quarterly meetings, group members are kept ‘in the know’ via an electronic mailing list. Minock hopes to start a blog with a calendar for the group, too.
In the near future, Minock would also like to see Digital Edge Mi launch a “Digital Board” - a smaller subset of the organization consisting of 10-12 people. This more intimate group would hone in on the prominent issues facing Michigan’s digital business owners, and allow members to bounce ideas off one another.
Does Digital Edge Mi sound like it would be helpful to you? The group is open to entrepreneurs and CEOs of Web-based, Michigan businesses. For more information, click here.
