The biggest news on the Volt’s development thus far is that engineers have come up with an algorithm for testing the durability of the batteries that can simulate 10 years of use — 150,000 miles — in just over two years of testing. While it doesn’t substitute for another episode or season of the HBO series, Western Michiganites have a chance to prolong their ‘Wire’ experience this evening at Grand Valley State University: as part of Women’s History Month activities, “The Wire” writer Kia Corthron will speak at GVSU about the impact of women in theater, film and television.
